The Free Filtered Water Sources in Paris
Free Filtered Water in Paris is Distributed by 729 Public Fountains. See Where They Are Located.
Without a doubt, Paris takes pride in its water! From time to time, we come across large billboards urging us to turn on the tap to taste a grand cru (a term used for a high-quality wine).
For us Brazilians, it's hard to trust the robinet (tap). I eventually accepted the challenge and drink tap water in Paris without any problem. In other French cities, I ask the hotel staff for it.
Regarding Paris water, we have published articles explaining that:
. we can drink tap water in hotels and rental apartments.
. we can get a bottle - for free - of tap water in restaurants. Just ask the waiter for a carafe d'eau (read here).
Today's article is about the Parisian drinking water fountains. Now in summer, you don't need to buy bottled water. Drink from these fountains and refill your bottle.
But be careful, not all public taps provide filtered water. At the end of the article, you will find a link to the official map of Paris's drinking water sources.
The map marks all the sources. They come in various forms: traditional Wallace Fountains, small discreet fountains placed in public gardens, totem-shaped fountains... The map even marks a large sparkling water dispenser.

. Gardens on the Champs Élysées avenue, to the right when going towards the Arc de Triomphe, between Place Concorde and Avenue Matignon.
Note: the map does not show the drinking water fountains in the two main gardens of Paris: Tuileries and Luxembourg.
Sparkling Water Fountain
The sparkling water fountain dispenses Paris water with added CO2. This water is chilled to 7 degrees Celsius. It can be found along the banks of the Seine: 33 quai Anatole France, 75007.
Also know that the public bathrooms installed on the sidewalks of Paris are equipped with a drinking water distribution point outside.

To finish, we believe that the Paris Water bottles are an excellent souvenir from the city. They are sold at the City Hall's official store in the Marais (click here).
