Le Zénith
The Zénith of Paris, better known as Le Zénith, is a large indoor arena located in the Parc de la Villette complex, near the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq. Le Zénith is the first concert arena built under the "Zénith" brand, which currently includes 17 venues across France.
Information
In 1981, the Ministry of Culture decided to welcome rock music and popular cultures by constructing a large-capacity concert hall. This idea led to the Zénith concept, which involves venues that can accommodate a large audience under optimal conditions.
Le Zénith de Paris opened in 1984 and later became a registered trademark; in French culture, the word zénith has become synonymous with theater. Its layout is modeled after the ancient Greek amphitheaters, hosting approximately 6,300 people. Each year, Le Zénith organizes hundreds of events and welcomes hundreds of thousands of spectators. Le Zénith features performances by some of the best voices in the international music scene, such as Muse, Morrissey, The Cure, Cyndi Lauper, and Bruce Springsteen.
