When you go to see the Eiffel Tower and then cross the Seine to view it from Trocadéro, continue your stroll by visiting the museums in Paris that are in this area.

The first one, at the Trocadéro square, is the newly inaugurated Paris Architecture Museum.

Down the Avenue du Président Wilson, at Iéna square, you will find the Guimet Museum, dedicated to Asian art. Further down Avenue Wilson, there are two more museums: Palais de Tokyo and the Museum of Modern Art.

The Palais de Tokyo is the major contemporary art center in Paris.

A young, fun museum with a very interesting restaurant/café, Tokyo Eat, where I sometimes just go to grab a drink at the café to gauge the atmosphere, where you can lunch or have a snack:

A bookstore where you can find all the books and magazines on contemporary art and fashion, along with a shop featuring items from major designers, including fantastic t-shirts and small travel souvenirs:

A fine dining restaurant with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, Monsieur Bleu, about which we talked here:

And a nightclub/show venue called YOYO (see the schedule here):

After visiting the museum, return to the entrance hall where you will find a portrait machine that has become the latest trend. Everyone in Paris goes to the Palais de Tokyo to take photos at the Photo Booth.

You enter and follow the machine's instructions after inserting coins to pay for the photos.

Leaving the Palais de Tokyo, take the opportunity to enter the Museum of Modern Art in the City of Paris, which is next door and has free entry to the permanent collection for all.

Palais de Tokyo and Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris: 11 Avenue du Président Wilson, 75016 Paris. Metro line 9, Iéna station.
