Paris and fashion for plus-size women

A few years ago, women's ready-to-wear brands like > did not offer sizes beyond 44. Often, they only provided up to size 42, if that. Strong women had the option of only a few niche brands specifically catering to this market.

Today, French women can buy lingerie and ready-to-wear in a market that is developing fashion for plus-size women. Whether in the niche segment or not.

Some fast fashion brands have developed a specific line for plus-size women. Among them:

.Violeta by Mango offers sizes 40 to 52 (available on the Mango website or in stores outside of Paris);

.Forever 21 Plus, sizes XL to 4XL (available only on the brand's website);

.H&M+, sizes 42 to 58 (120 rue de Rivoli).

We also recommend the French brand Bruno Saint Hilaire. It has a limited number of clean and basic models, ideal for work time. All are available up to size 46. The brand has many locations in Paris, including 38 rue Saint Placide, in Saint Germain.

Finally, check out the site La Redoute/Castaluna. La Redoute is one of the first French mail-order websites, meaning it has been around for centuries. The brand has adapted to the new form of consumption and online shopping works very well for them. They are very reliable. La Redoute has a line with sizes up to 58. Click here.
