This is the beautiful entrance of the Palais de Justice in Paris, and behind the bars, you can see Sainte Chapelle, the most stunning Gothic monument in France. The entrance is not through this main door but rather through the side door in the photo below.

The last time I visited this church was in 2001, and this line was just to go through the anti-terrorist security check. If the security rules haven't changed, this line is inevitable. There is a combined ticket for entry to the Conciergerie that also grants access to Sainte Chapelle, just like the Museum Pass. If you have one of the two, you will avoid a second line to buy tickets. Click here to buy your combined ticket.

The beauty of this monument is not in its exterior but in the famous stained glass windows on the second floor.

The entrance is on the first floor, where the chapel built for the king's subjects is located. To the left, you will see a small spiral staircase that leads to the upper floor.

The level of the private royal chapel with its stained glass separated by 15-meter high columns.

At the back, the famous rose window.
